The garden has had its own near total refurbishment and is perhaps 75% complete; mainly needs more planting now we have seen what was hiding beneath the surface....and of course some rain to revive the grass.
Apart from lots of cutting back, removal and planting, setting up a discrete bin store, removing the old paving and stone path, we added a stout 3m pergola, 4 areas of Italian ceramic tiling, a rough path using recycled cottes, trellising above the party fence and a wooden raised bed.
Despite being close to adjoining houses, the garden is hardly overlooked, and as some of the climbers develop, it will feel the more private. It also benefits from a mix of sunshine through the day and the seasons, as it lies North/South and the house offers some useful shading.
